Design and materials

Core's 5-inch touch panel on CoreOS 4.0. It is the server of the KNX system: it controls and shows the whole system and runs its logic, with no other server. It shows the rooms and their devices, the scenes, the security panel with the cameras and the door locks, and the automations. It answers a SIP door station, and it can pass an unanswered call to the Core mobile app. With Core Cloud, it works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Siri Shortcuts and IFTTT.

  • Brushed metal or silky matte

Four brushed finishes: aluminium in grey or black, brass and stainless steel. Six silky-matte finishes: aluminium painted in several layers and sealed, for a soft feel.

  • Black glass in a metal frame

The glass covers the screen; the finish you pick is the metal around it.

Where it goes

In a bedroom, the study or by a door, at about 1.4 m to the centre. It mounts on the surface over an in-wall box, and it needs Ethernet at the box, with PoE or a 12 to 30 V DC supply.
